Minor Programme in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM)
The minor programme in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) is designed with the aim of offering students a well-rounded education to equip them with the knowledge and skill sets necessary to compete not only in Hong Kong – a major logistics center – but also in the knowledge- and technology-based global economy.
Leveraging the cutting-edge developments of engineering, in particular operations research and decision analytics, this Minor Programme in LSCM aims to develop novel analytic models and artificial intelligence techniques to derive managerial insights as well as the solution approach for optimal decision-making in related complex environments.
Expected learning outcomes
Upon completion of their studies, LSCM students will have developed:
- an understanding of the role of logistics and supply chain management in modern economics;
- the ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering appropriate to logistics and supply chain management;
- the ability to identify, formulate, and solve problems in logistics and supply chain management;
- the ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice appropriate to logistics and supply chain management;
